Education
There's always lots going on in the nature reserve - especially with local schools. The Green Park Project has strong links with both local primary and secondary schools. In July 2014 students from Beaumont College, Lancaster finished building a bird hide, bird feeding table and over 10 bird and bat boxes.
Students from Ripley St Thomas Academy, Lancaster have also been helping out by building bird boxes and a hedgehog box. More recently year 7 pupils cleared the path from plants that were becoming overgrown and hindering access. Even the Sixth Form is joining in with a group of budding engineers designing a bridge that will cross the Burrow Beck at the Cork Road end of Cranwell Avenue, allowing more direct access into the nature reserve.
